PLANAS TRACKS

WHAT IS PLANAS TRACKS?

Planas Direct Tracks is a technique used to correct early malocclusion in young children (7-8yrs), it consists of ‘filling’ material build ups on the posterior teeth to changes the direction of the occlusal bite. This technique is used in conjunction with orthodontics, but prior to orthodontic treatment being started. (It is a ‘Phase I’ in malocclusion correction with primary dentition). It helps eliminate the possibility of future TMJ issues, grinding/clenching problems, and periodontal problems.

The following malocclusions that we use Planas Tracks are the following:

  • Posterior crossbites

  • Open Bites

  • Deep Bite
